When a map update comes out, like what just came out in the 2018.10 update, is there a place to find what big changes were made? I noticed in an area I hike, there is a lot more green in Basecamp. So I was curious if any of that is documented.
I'm not hopeful there is another way than obtaining map updates via Express, but if anyone knows how to download them, that would be most helpful! (I only use Linux).
I use Linux too and I only update Garmin maps in my work PC which has Windows. However, I don't use Garmin's own maps and prefer to use maps from OpenTopoMap and Openstreetmap.nl. Garmin.opentopomap.org maps are updated weekly but Garmin.openstreetmap.nl hasn't been updated since June 20. Actually, here Garmin maps are based on the same Openstreetmap database but it may be different where you live.
