Trouble connecting to RD Pod

I have had intermittent issues connecting my Fenix 5s plus to my RD Pod. Initially, it paired well and had no problems. I then was unable to connect to the pod for a day or two, then it spontaneously started working again. Last week, I had a similar issue where my pod was not connecting. I tried resetting the watch, disconnecting the sensor (then I couldn't find it to add it back), which didn't work. So I went on my run anyway. After the run, I was able to repair the RD Pod. And it worked again fine for a week or so. Then yesterday, again the pod would not correct. This time I am unable to fix it. I have removed the sensor, but now when I try to add it as a new sensor, my watch can't find it. I never had any issues with my Fenix 5s and the RD Pod. I don't think it's the pod that's the problem, as it seems to intermittently connect and work fine. I don't seem to have any dropouts during a run, it's just finding the sensor prior to the run that's the problem. Anyone else with this issue?
