No turn by turn navigation

Hi All,
I downloaded a route created using routecourse onto my Fenix 5 plus and tried navigating the course during a run. Though I could see the course on my watch, I never got any turn by turn navigation prompts. Do you know why? I had no such issues on my Fenix 5X. So,
wondering what settings I need to change to get the turn by turn navigation prompts on the watch?

For routeCourse downloaded courses that's often controlled by "Turn Guidance" and "Off Course Warnings" in Course settings, although it's odd that what was working for you on your Fenix 5X is no longer working on the 5 Plus.

In the activity settings (e.g. Run Settings), there is an option Routing - Courses. Selecting 'Follow Course' is the default option, but you can change it to 'Use Map', then you will get turn by turn navigation. If the course is from a track, you will see a lot of blue dots for all the waypoints, which is disturbing. If the course if from a route, it will have fewer waypoints, but there is a risk that the route will be changed if it was generated using a different map.

That's a fair comment. We only have a few devices available to use hands-on, and these routing settings are not available in the developers simulators, but we do pay attention to specific device feedback like this to add to our knowledge base.

I don't think that was a fair comment... this is watch specific setting which applies to any downloaded GPX course (through routecourse or mailed and downloaded, even created through garmin connect)

Does the Fenix Plus line include audio prompts for turn-by-turn?

Many thanks for this tip, I created a route yesterday and suffered the frustration of no turn-by-turn instructions, even though previous routes had. Today when I rode, all worked as expected, thank you once agin.
