Performance Stats

So I recently upgraded from a Vivoactive 3 to the 5 plus and had a question regarding the Performance Stats. I know that with the Vivoactive 3 that VO2 Max would only update on a GPS run.

I have a HRM-TRI and a foot pod along with the Power Meter data field from Garmin and will run on the treadmill. Will my Lactate Threshold or FTP/kg update on treadmill runs, or do they act like VO2 Max and only update on GPS runs? I didn't know how it would effect training effect and status if other metrics aren't being updated due to running indoors.

Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
  • The guided lactate test requires that you do an outside run with GPS enabled, so presumably it wouldn't update on a treadmill run, even with the footpod providing pace/distance data.
I can't find any documentation to confirm or disprove that outright though.
