Ok, I moved over from the 5x to the Ti 5+ (non-DLC), and I’ve been having this on going issue. No matter what I do after wearing the 5+ band for one or two days (off during showers) I get a rash under the band (yes I fully dry off and make sure there isn’t any moisture on the bands/wrist). Now I’ve had the 3HR and the 5x and I’ve worn these the same way with no issues.
So here is the weird/odd part, the rash isn’t the whole thickness of the band it’s just the outline. On the band near the quick release there is a notch that goes down to the slots that hold the watch together, where as on the 5x/3HR there never was. The rash only appears along the raised area of the band. Did Garmin change the style of bands or material? Or have the smaller 5s/5 always have this little notch on the band?
Side note if I move the band over to one of my NATO bands no rash no irritation.
