Move iq

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if my settings are wrong, but I'm a bit disappointed in the MOVE IQ on the PLUS model.
I do a lot of activity during the day - physical activity - and my Fenix 5 used to pick this up as active (intensity) minutes.
The PLUS however hasn't picked anything up in 3 days.
Looking at the Manual it states:

When your movements match familiar exercise patterns, the Move IQ feature automatically detects the event and displays it in your timeline. The Move IQ events show activity type and duration, but they do not appear in your activities list or newsfeed.

The Move IQ feature can automatically start a timed activity for walking and running using time thresholds you set in the Garmin ConnectTm Mobile app. These activities are added to your activities list.

Anyone offer any help? Have they made move IQ susceptible to certain activity only?
Or does anyone know where I set these "TIME THRESHOLDS" in the Garmin App?

Cheers

    Yup, thanks.

I did read that and I did set the MoveIQ parameter to 'On' the first day I got the watch. That is why I bought this watch in the first place; Because
The Move IQ feature can automatically start a timed activity for walking and running

And as you would expect, it never did in the 3 weeks I've had the thing.

So, anyone who did succeed to have this ' feature ' actually working?

I don't mind manually starting an activity when I go running or for a 40 km walk but when I walk the dog for bit that later turns into 1h30 of exercise or i start working in the garden and continue for a straight 5 hours, the watch should be able to recognise and record HR , steps and calories if not distance...

My old Fitbit did that all the time. And afterward I was able to change start and end times as well as the type of activity or even erase the activity completely if I felt so.

Well, I must say, for a device with a price tag 6 times the fitbit, I am pretty disappointed.

Did a reset last night - although I had to try 4 times before it actually cleared EVERYTHING. THe holding of the LAP button whilst turning on no lner clears everything, and no longer asks to CLEAR USER DATE.
I ended up doing the 3 Button start up method and it worked a treat. This was to try and fix what I felt were a few buggy areas...
I've set the watch up in its rawest of states - Basic Watch Face, Haven't defined any activities, or changed any settings except for personal info, and have added HR, Steps and Active Minutes to the list of Apps.
No Setting up of Wifi or Bluetooth and not connected to phone.

So far this morning my steps have been more realistic, did my daily (pre set) allowance before 10.30.
My active minutes are actually recording my (non standard) activities.
And the battery is at 97% form 100% charge at Midnight.

Guess I just need to see if MOVE IQ works when I hop on the bike later.

Thanks for helping clarifying the difference in MOVE IQ and Intensity Minutes
