Import of Zwift virtual cycling into Garmin connect

Hi, I am using Wahoo kickr trainer and do cycling training using Zwift software with all of the sensors (power, cadence, hrm) sending data to Zwift.

I have setup automatic data upload to Garmin connect, which works well as all the data is loaded to GC after Zwift work out is saved.

however there is one exception: GC does not show training effect and VO2 max cycling for Cycling workouts imported from Swift.

please advise how this can be corrected ? All other data in GC looks correct: power, cadence, hr

Thanks
  • Those calculations are done 'on device' with firstbeat licensed products. Your current activity recorder, Zwift, is not firstbeat licensed.
  • Thanks. I see now.

However garmin could make all the calculations in GC as they have all the data imported.

Could you please suggest a way to mitigate:

    - does garmin have product similar to Zwift ?

    - should I connect kickr and hrm sensors to the watch ? Is it feasible to have kickr connected to Zwift and watch at the same time ? I am using Zwift on windows Pc with ANT adapter.
  • Connect your kickr, hrm to your watch and record the session.
  • @TrippZ - please advise how to connect Fenix to Kickr whilst it is connected to another app (i.e. Wahoo Fitness or Zwift) - can't work this out.

The Kickr transmits data using several ANT+ profiles including the power meter profile. So my suggestion would be to pair it with your watch as a power meter, and also as a speed/cadence sensor if it supports that. Do not pair it as a trainer to the watch using ANT+ FE-C or Bluetooth Smart. Instead pair that profile with the app of your choice. That's how I have my setup with Zwift.
