Garmin Pay and ASB Bank (New Zealand). Has anyone managed to set their watch up?

So I went through the procedure via the Connect app (on iOS) and everything is pretty easy, but when it comes time to register my card it comes back with an authorization error telling me to get in touch with my bank. ASB tell me there's nothing wrong on their side so they say it's a Garmin problem. Pretty annoying.
So before I start the arduous task of contacting Garmin to remedy this - has anyone else in NZ had any luck registering their ASB Visa card for Garmin Pay?
  • I spoke with garmin support yesterday and they said they were having a problem with a number of banks currently and are working on a fix. I was able to set up garmin pay for my vivoactive but I am gettting the same error your are getting for the fenix 5+...
  • Thanks for the response brsavage. I take it you're talking specifically about ASB in New Zealand as well? I suspected it might be related to the new model but still frustrating either way.
    I was actually surprised at how smooth the whole process seemed to be (so unlike Garmin!) but when I got to the end and got rejected it felt more like the usual Garmin way of doing things haha
  • Okay issue solved. Stupidly forgot I was using iOS 12 beta and after rolling back to 11.4.1 Garmin Pay worked as expected!
