HRM-Tri connection issues

I’ve just realized today that my HRM -run TRI has never worked properly with my new Fenix 5 Plus. Those parameters as cadence, time of contact with the ground, vertical variations and the rest appear scattered around the timeline, as if only took a measure every few minutes. I’ve checked all my activities and all of them have the same problem. It may happen that my HRM TRI has broken but the.previous activities with my Fenix 5 were ok.
Anyone else with this Issue?

And now I know why the lactate threshold test failed.
  • Simple question, are you sure you are wearing the right way up?
  • Ja ha. Pretty sure. I’ve been wearing it 4-5 days a week for more than 3 years. That's not the problem. I wish, it’d be easy to solve.
    Thanks
  • Have you read through this thread? https://forums.garmin.com/forum/on-t...ter-2-ish-mins If you are getting HR data but not the RD data, then it would be worth you raising a Customer Support ticket to add more data in to the people seeing this issue (I’m not having this issue by the way). As you go through the thread you’ll see some have already reported this issue with HRM Tri and not just Gen1 HRM Run.
  • Yes, I had gone through that thread. But I have also found another one (I don't have the link right now) that helped me out.

    There were 3 steps:
    1. Delete de HRM-Tri from the Fenix 5 plus
    2. Turn off the watch
    3. Remove the battery from the HRM , put it backward, and then put it right again (I guess that this is as resetting the HRM tri)
    4. Turn on the watch and connect the HRM again.

Then I did some errands for my wife with the HRM on and the watch in Run mode (I could not run again today because I had already run 18 km ). Now, it seems to work. I get all the data right, though somewhat off because I was actually walking.
So I think that I have solved it. I won't be able to run till Wednesday so I won't be sure until then. I'll let you know.
    Thanks.
  • Hi Agepi7o. Did the reset vodoo help. I had seriours ANT problems with my F5-Saphirre and HRM-Tri. I got the F5 replaced (probably new antenna). All got better.
Stryd and Favero Assioma work well now. Now HRM-Tri was giving totally wrong heart frequency. I got HRM-Tri replaced and HRM is almost good, however now the running data from the sensor are missing at a great extent. And I have only temporary losses of heart frequency. With Stryd and HRM-Tri you can run. However I am really wondering why Garmin stuff does not work reliable with Garmin watches. Could be there a problem in additonal data fields or something else.
