Finally at the end of this month , when my return window is over I'll stop to report it if they will have not resolved this bug because I return this watch. Altimeter us totally useless for my needs.

How do you install betas on the f5+ models?

When connected to my Mac by USB, the f5+ doesn't show up as a mounted drive like all my previous fenixes or other Garmin devices do, so there's nothing for me to copy the beta files into.

Are you sure? I wasn't aware that the f5+ used Android protocols. Or do you mean transferring the beta files onto an Android phone for GCM to then somehow update the watch? (no good for me, I'm using iOS).

I'd be much happier using native OSX USB mass storage support if there's a way of doing so.

Yes I'm sure. The Fenix 5 plus uses MTP protocol and that will not mount as a filesystem on Mac so you need to use something lie Android file transfer to transfer the files to the watch. It works fine - used it today.

Yes but it's always said that, even when it worked 'properly' with a Mac. For example, look at all the f5 beta releases; they say the same, yet updating them via Macs is fully supported and has been for years. I don't think Garmin has actually changed or reviewed that boilerplate text ever. In fact, if the plus models do use the MTP protocol as mentioned above, I'm not sure Windows 2000 even supports that natively.

I just connect my watch without any software and it mounts on my Mac. I currently update to the lates beta on the mac and didnt try it since.

As we can see from the user reports F5+ is seriously flawed and looks as though got released too early.

Still it's a great watch and the community is eager to help, however the communication from your side is poor.

Could you please acknowledge issues existence, confirm if you are able to reproduce them and what are the ETAs for the fixes.
