I have the problem on Fenix 5x plus with virtual racer(Race activity). I wanted to race against the previous score on the watch and it is not showing any time AHEAD or BEHIND. It just shows the anticipated finished time. The problem was the similar as with Fenix 5x on 5.30 and 5.40 firmware.
To the earlier participants in this thread: Has the problem been solved on your watches?
Tried virtual Racer yesterday, does not work, actually worse then it was before when it did not work, no time ahead or behind, though the icon things seem to be moving about right, but the numbers it was giving for when race was going to finish was in 3hrs or something crazy where the race was only 1hr 10min on a bike. Not been able to use this feature for some time now, never worked on my 935, does not work on my fenix 5xplus. if I want to use it i need to get my old 910 out... This is with latest software, etc. also noticed on a previous ride, my strava segments are not working as they should, watch does not see them all anymore.
Garmin I am so disappointed in your work with this issue. I reported the problem 5 months ago and it is still not solved. As I wrote in my post I had the same problems a year ago with Garmin Fenix 5x and then you at least solve the problem in 2 months, but now after all this time, you did nothing to fix this virtual racer which should work perfectly from the beginning. Considering how much you charge for the watch everything should run perfectly. from the beginning. Personally, I am tired of waiting for the solution and I will probably return my Fenix 5x plus to Garmin shop and demand my money back because the product you selling is not having the functions you advertise. I am sure if everyone would do so this problem would be fixed in 14 days.
I spoke with Garmin this morning, apparently if you race an activity that was recorded after the fix then it works, I can't confirm this as only recorded 2 since i updated, but will hopefully have a go later this week, so maybe it's fixed after all.
I'm sorry, I posted before testing the feature myself. This feature was not corrected in the last update, please keep an eye out for a fix in feature beta software. Also after a fix is released in a full release of a software, I will test this feature myself and then re-post in this thread to let everyone to know. Sorry again and thank you for understanding.
