Bluetooth Music Devices (not headphones)

Has anyone been able to successfully pair their watch and "other" Bluetooth devices besides headphones (i.e. car audio, home speakers, Google Home, etc.)? I've got a JVC system and the watch recognized the car, but is not able to complete the connection.

Also could NOT pair with my:
JBL Charge 2+ pill speaker
Bose SoundTouch 300 speaker
Google Home speaker

I would assume that the Bluetooth connection should work with any device, but that doesn't appear to be the case?
I really hope this can be resolved through firmware updates...
  • With the 645m, I'd had no problem with 2 different BT speakers, various over-the ear headphones, and even a clip on BT receiver where you could plug in wired headphones.

With a car, I understand it's got to support the "headphones" profile, and some cars use a "hands free" profile which is different. (my car doesn't handle either so never tried)

One thing I have noticed is some devices enter "pairing mode" when you turn them on, while others, there's an extra step (with the clip thing, and one set of headphones, it was an extra long press of the power button)

    Hi there
I have just got a fenix 5 plus ..... more for the navigation & mapping ... but what the hell why not connect the music while I'm in the car .... I thought ..... hmmm
Did anyone crack it yet ??
My car has two bluetooth modes ... one that is phone specific .... that works with my phone!! and another 'audio device' which I thought should work with my sexy new garmin ..... The car and fenix do talk to each other but the car is asking for a BT code ..... where does that come from ???
In the case of my phone ... the phone popped up a code that I typed into the car radio ..... but I did not get anything like that with the fenix watch ... all comments welcome
