Upgraded from Fenix 3 to 5X Plus. Want to use my old Fenix 3 HR strap with the new watch, but no matter what I do it thinks it can't find it. Strap works perfectly fine with the Fenix 3. Any ideas?
As is often the case, I've found the solution immediately after getting frustrating enough to post on the forum about it! For anyone in a similar position, I did the trick of resetting the HR strap by taking out its battery and putting it in backwards for a few seconds (shorts the contacts). Once back in the correct way, bingo, found immediately.
