Viewing Pulse Ox data

The manuals show the pulse ox widget, and how to interpret it, and say:

> On the device, your pulse oximeter reading appears as an oxygen saturation percentage and color on the graph. On your Garmin ConnectTm account, you can view additional details about your pulse oximeter readings, including trends over multiple days

I see the data on the widget, but while you can see the most recent number, and broad trends over time, there's pretty much no way to get detailed info. But I can't find anything related to pulse ox on the (iOS) Garmin Connect App, or on the Garmin Connect site. Is it hidden somewhere?

Here's the link to the manual:

  • What detailed information do you want? Here's a thread from Slowtwitch that might be worth a read - https://forum.slowtwitch.com/forum/Slowtwitch_Forums_C1/Triathlon_Forum_F1/pulse_oximeter_for_training_P4255390/
  • I’d just like to be able to look at the data in Garmin Connect, as the manual says I can, and like I can with the heart rate data etc. I don’t really know what I want to do with it yet; I didn’t really get the watch for that particular feature. Otoh, I live at sea level, and occasionally race at altitude - so maybe there’s something I can do with it. But if all I can ever see is the last few days on the watch itself - and I lose that every time I do a hard reset - it’s not much use for anything.

My PulseOx data started showing up in the GC app as well as Garmin Connect yesterday (under Reports->Healt & Fitness).
  • There's another thread somewhere that says the 5X+ has to have a GPS fix before the PulseOx widget will show up. There's also discussion about why this is so.
  • Yes. It is nice to see the numbers showing up in the phone app.

I'm concerned with the accuracy. I occasionally get unusually low numbers...and not just when I'm sleeping so sleep apnea isn't the cause. I wonder if the pulse ox meter has issues like the heart rate monitor can have where fit can cause inaccurate readings?

For example, yesterday morning I got a pulse ox reading of 100, followed by one of about 88 an hour later...then 92, then 90, then back to 100.

Anyone else seeing this kind of variation?
  • I see this post is over 1 year ago, but I find same problem, which means I can find most recent data on Widget, but cannot see any in Garmin Connect iOS or Web.

May I ask your result on this? Is it resolved and how?

    Thank you.

It should be under Training - Pulse Ox Acclimatisation on the web site

  • Thank you for reply AJRykala,

Unfortunately, there is no data in my account.

I confirm I manually tested 3 times yesterday and it's able to be seen in Watch Widget, just no sync to Connect Web or iOS.

After I read the "question mark", I cannot find the option "Pulse Ox" under "Activity Tracking" in my watch:

I don't have Pulse Ox under Activity Tracking either... yet I get a GC sync of POx data...

In GC if you select 'Edit My Day' at the bottom does it show - is there any Sleep POx Data?
