Delete some Map coverage

Hi,

I thought that the watch was with maps from a specific region, i have here 3 regions (?¿) and only 7GB available, any explanation?? did not install music or nothing.

How could i delete Pacific and Nort/South america coverage??

Thanks,
  • Hi, I have same question. :)

  • The maps updated and shown in Garmin Express are just wordl wide golf courses (as Garmin representative stated in another post). They don't use much space. What other maps you have in your watch.. well I will repeat myself from a different post:

    - Basecamp doesn't seem to show maps in the watch (at least mine does not)
    - The 'course view' maps updated by Garmin Express seem to beworld wide golf courses! (as Garmin-Heath stated)

Remember that choice of maps is activity specific (you can use different maps in different activities), so if you want to check which maps are in the watch then go to the menu and chose:

Settings->Activities&Apps->Map->Map Settings->Map->Configure Maps.. there you can choose which maps from the watch you want to use for the Map activity.
    In my watch it shows:

    - Worldwide DEM Basemap, NR
    - TopoActive Europe East 2017.30
    - TopoActive Europe West 2017.30

    Files in the /GARMIN directory:
    gmapbmap.img - 46,8 MB - the worldwide base map
gmapdem.img - 919 MB - worldwide DEM data (Digital Elevation Model)
    gmapprom.img - 2,09 GB - TopoActive Europe map (part 1)
    gmapprom1.img - 3,78 GB - TopoActive Europe map (part 2)
gmapsup1.img (also 2 and 3) - the golf course files

Also remember you can use freeware maps in the watch, for example from this place
The created *.img file should be put in /GARMIN directory of the watch.
  • Can you help me delete maps other than Europe?
    Almost 7GB

In the German forum someone thinks that it is the corresponding base maps ( cities and trunk roads ) for the corresponding regions are
