Fenix plus Not Connected

I've upgraded from Fenix 5 to Fenix 5 Plus just a week ago. I'm very happy with the upgrade but there's still issues unresolved. In this case my complain(or doubt) is about the connection with my iPhone (running iOS 11.4): it get's lost several times per hour, in fact, I have to terminate the app, turn of de Bluetooth in the iPhone, then turn it on again and then open de Garmin Connect app. It, then, work properly for a while and then disconnects again. Anyone with the same problem? Any solution?
Thanks.
  • So far I do not have this problem with my Fenix 5 plus in combination with an iPhone X both on lates official firmware. But I only have the watch since 3 days, so maybe I will be concerned soon...

Unfortunately I have the same problem with my Fenix 5s plus, After one week of flawless connection, the watch disconnected from bluetooth, and in spite of updating and reloading the software it does not connect to my iphone x and to JBL headphones anymore (It became undiscoverable). I sent the watch to the service, I will keep you update as soon.
  • I too had issues installing some widgets into a brand new Fenix 5 Plus. Turned out, that the firmware was out of date and needed to be updated from the device Settings. All good since the update to Version 6.00.

I am experiencing random bluetooth disconnects of my Fenix 5 plus (FW 6.00) and iPhone XS (iOS 12.1.4) almost dayly!
This watch is just as bullshit reliable as a 20,-$ Chinese smartwatch and Garmin has no idea how to do it right.

    Another weird experience today.
As so often i did not get notifications from my iPhone today although it was working in the morning...
I checked the connection in the iPhone bluetoothsettings and saw that the watch is not connected - WHY!?
I then started the Garmin connect app and all of a sudden, the watch was connected and synced with the app.
HOWEVER although the watch kept connected after that, it did not notify me about emails, notifications etc.
Power-cycle the watch and pairing again did not make a difference.
Some minutes later however it suddenly worked again... woodooo fenix.
I could imagine, that the software tinkerer at Garmin did not even read the interface documentation of the Apple SDK right.
The daily frustration with that watch goes on..... (until i find an idiot who buys that product)
