Loving my 5X plus but I need a shorter band. The clasp is in hole 5 (from the watch face) so it is almost on the side of my wrist :-( I looked in to a metal one - the titanium black one - but the delivery on Garmin's Spanish site is 9 weeks!!! Any suggestions? Thanks!
As I type this my Fenix 5 quickfit band buckle is fixed in the 5th smallest hole and the loose end almost reaches all the way up the 12:00 side of the strap. I will say that the 5X will use most conventional 26mm watch straps, if you don't mind giving up the quickfit feature.
NATO/nylon straps in particular are easy to cut down (just pinch extra end between two nickels or quarters using vise grips, trim with razor blade and burn ends for that professionally shorter look).
