Recommended Bluetooth Headphones for 5+

Hi,

Anyone have any BT headphone recommendations for the 5+? Looking for running and cycling. dcrainmaker uses the Skullcandy Method which look decent. I basically don’t want them falling out while I’m moving around and I also want to be able to hear traffic decently. Any other suggestions? Not looking to break the bank.

My previous setup was an iPod shuffle (clip version) with some in earbuds on a wire. But the wire would move around and eventually pull out the bud.

Thanks,
  • I have the watch on my left wrist and still don't have any problems.
My friend uses Jabra Elite Sport model, the watch on his left wrist,.. he also didn't report any problems with the headphones.

Both of us use Aftershokz Trekz Air - the SO has a 5S+ and I have a 5+. Left hand watch, no cut-outs outside so far (some minor ones at first with her 5S+, but was stable throughout the rest).

As I told in the 5x topic, my jabra elite active 65t was dropping out constantly with the watch on my left wrist. After 15 minutes I switced to my right wrist and not even 1 single drop-out occured.
i have only do 1 run so I have to test them a couple times before I decide to return them or not.

Switch the watch to my right wrist is a no go for me
  • I've been using my Jabra Elite Sport w/ a Fenix 5 Plus on my left wrist along with an HRM-Tri and a Stryd (connected as a foot pod and as a power meter). I usually get a very good connection (occasional drops but barely noteworthy). When I've had issues turning off the connection to the phone resolved them.
  • I have been using Jaybird freedom's with my F5+. Connects with no issues only in the beginning of a run some cracking sounds but during the runs no issues at all. Watch is on the left wrist. Battery loses 20% after a 75 min run. F5+ is also connected with HRM Run or RD Pod. What could be annoying for some people is the controls that could move around whilest running.
  • Anker Soundcore Liberty Lite

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soundcore-T...07JMLGMNL?th=1

    - True Wireless

    - Pairing without any problem , bt v5.0

    - No dropouts ever during the run outdoors (earbuds covered with winter hat , watch covered with baselayer and jacket ,watch on left wrist )

    - Sound more detailed compared to Jaybird Freedom ,bass is not that deep and it is not killing mids as it is in original profile on freedom, I can definitely hear wider frequency there.

    - Max .Volume slightly lower but satisfactory (depends how def you are) 80-85% intensity is without any distortion for me, which is MAx. volume for my listening while running .

    - As it is In-ear, it can be uncomfortable for some people after a while

    - Fit is very secure

    - No physical volume control

    - As Fenix 5 plus has low quality audio interface you will not hear any major differences between Bose , Sennheiser or any other pricier earphones and Liberty Lite when working out.

    - Paired with higher quality audio interface , Liberty Lite will give much better and accurate sound.

    - Tested with Fenix 5 Plus APAC v.6.0
  • I have the Anker soundbuds Slim+, works perfectly with watch on left wrist, no drop outs
  • I'm using PaMu Scroll earbuds. Work well running on left wrist with arms up, but dropouts if walking with hands in trouser pockets.
    ??????
One issue, every time I start music on watch and they pair up, volume is reset to full. Any way to stop this?
