Available from other retailers in the UK?

Anyone know when other retailers will have yjemtib the uk and if they will be able to give their usual discount if say a member of a cycling club?

?
  • It’s an exclusive to the Cotswold Outdoor related group at present. It seems the usual form is that normal discounts don’t work, or don’t work fully (ie normal 20% only equaled 10% of the Fenix 5 on launch), during the early days of exclusivity.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1366762.jpg
  • I ordered my black F5+ sapphire from alpinetrek.co.uk last week for £636 and will hopefully get another £30 back via Quidco. It arrived Saturday.

I tried to get Snow and rock to price match and even though they checked aplinetreks website they said they couldn't possibly be in stock as they had the exclusive. However it does appear that alpinetrek are based in Germany and have now sold out.
  • So do we know how long the period of exclusively is for?
  • I seem to remember when Wiggle had the exclusive on the Forerunner 935 last year it went on for quite some time (several weeks). I guess you’ll need someone on the inside with Cotswold to confirm what the deal is (if they are allowed).
  • Clever Training have the standard 5+ in stock and the DC Rainmaker 10% discount codes work so available for £630. Not sure if I should wait for the Sapphire model though.

Amazon UK have stock of the 5+ at £599 for delivery tomorrow

  • Sorry just seen my typo - the Clever Training and CDR code means its £539.99! Not £630. Doh.
  • Clever training UK also seems to have the 5S plus in stock although I haven’t received an email confirming my delivery date from them yet.

Interestingly they have the glass version of the 5S plus but not the sapphire version (Cotswold the other way round).
  • Anyone know if Snow/Rock offer it in their duty free stores? I’m flying out from Gatwick next week tempted to see what price they would offer.
  • No idea but I have found that generally the airport stores are more expensive than elsewhere, duty free is a joke on the whole these days. The store rents are sky high so the “duty free” prices are often inflated. Don’t count on it but hopefully somebody who has been this week can confirm
