First Gen HRM-Run drops out after 2-ish mins

Second run with the new 5X+ and it did the same thing on each run - all strap related data; ground contact time & balance, stride length, vert oscillation, etc. stops recording at around 2 mins 14 seconds. My wife's new 5+ (not X) is doing the exact same thing. Still getting heart rate, cadence, etc, but that is likely coming from the watch when it drops the strap out. Battery changed in our HRM Runs a couple weeks ago.

We both just upgraded from 5X's which worked fine with the straps.
  • The problem with recording the dynamic characteristics of running in firmware 3.56 beta with a bluetooth phone (iphone) connected is not solved. Recording stops at time 2:08 https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/2914999588
  • Same issue here. HRM run strap worked flawlessly with my fenix 3. Two runs now with my Fenix 5 plus and the run metrics drops out around 2 minutes, except cadence. Its not the HRM run as the heart rate data looks great. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1386506.png

Disconnecting the watch from the phone or disabling Bluetooth does work (albeit not ideal). But not as big of a deal now that I really have no reason to run with my phone except for emergency calls.

I'm having the same issue. My HRM Run is 6 months old and has been working flawlessly with my fenix 3. I replaced the watch with a fenix 5 plus 4 days ago and paired the chest strap with my new watch. Everything was fine on the first run, but on all three runs since then all advanced running dynamics drop out completely just after the 2 minute mark.
  • Not fixed on version 4.0 of the firmware :-(
  • Today I tried the same and it worked fine! (Garmin 5 plus with HRM RUN). But of cause it's no solution!

I can't shut off bluetooth on my fenix 5 plus. The manual says to hold the light button and it should be in the menu options, but it does not exist???? I have searched all the menus as well and nothing exist about bluetooth expect for pairing mode. There is no option to turn ON/OFFciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1388509.png
  • NOT HAPPY... just been reviewing my stats and aside from the HRM-RUN data not there I knew about after 2 minutes, ALSO RUNNING POWER data fields stop at 2:08 seconds.... this is on 3.56. Someone fix this or i am putting my fenix 3 back on my wrist......

  • ...by the way does this happen with the LATEST HRM-RUN anyone?? I just bought 5 minutes ago on ebay a new HRM-RUN, and will sell my 1st gen hrm-run with my fenix 3 next week, nice kit, works perfectly....

Yes, the problem exists with the latest HRM-Run as well (red/black pod). Turning bluetooth off on my phone works for running dynamics, at the loss of a bunch of other features of course...
  • Disconnecting Bluetooth before starting a run seems to work, however I think it messed up the anaerobic and aerobic training. I had a pretty hard run this morning and spent plenty of time in zone 4. But my workout was 100% aerobic which it shouldn’t be. This is the first time this happens which I believed is either related to disconnecting Bluetooth or the HRM run data
