I also find this annoying and stresful and it really slows down the payment if I have to input the pin again, which I can not be sure of if needed.
Usually I just leave the pin without the last digit and…
And while they're at at they could look at fixing the security on the wallet as I find it very hit and miss.
Often whilst in a queue I will try and time it right so that I finish entering the PIN…
As I have written before: We need a Pause function:
Is this possible on the Fenix 6? It's a pretty *** strategy from Garmin to "take notes" from existing users and instead of giving said users the functionality, you hold it hostage until said users purchase the newest product. I want to believe that Garmin doesn't disrespect their customers enough to do this, considering we are the ones doing their job, improving their products.
Unless Garmin fixes Garmin Pay it's going to become obsolete pretty soon. My 5 Plus remembers the pin 1/10 times, and using the watch to pay as opposed to you bank card/mobile phone is easily two-three times as time consuming if you want to have a pin with any level of safety. No user ever is going to embrace a more cumbersome solution to a problem when they can solve it faster and easier in other ways, especially if their regular way of solving the problem (i.e. tapping a bank card/phone) is way more agile. It'll be a gimmick you do once or twice, but never again because even though it looks cool, it's counter-productive.
That's exactly what must have happened.
Adding a mapping for another button is a few lines of code. How come it's available in f6 not in f5+?
Anyways the PIN remembering doesn't work for me neither. I will report a complain for that one day for sure.
I owned f3, f5 and f5+. Each of the devices didn't work properly during the first year (f5+ probably never will).
A premium product which is obsolete after a year and worth 50% of the purchase price.
It's still pretty decent sport watch but I don't think worth the price, especially since the features you pay extra for don't work and you're basically used as a reverse-paid Garmin QA.
I bought my device recently and I didn't think about searching for this because, to be honest, it is so obvious that is amazing it is not offered to the users. We are not talking about something complex like offering an alternative to PIN more fitting to the device, we are talking about adding a simple shortcut to the shortcuts list.
