Fenix 5X to a 5 Plus?

Has anyone gone from a 5X to a 5 plus yet. I have had my 5X since it was released and have been very happy with it but being a little smaller could be a good thing.
Don't think pulse oximeter will be any good for me and I take a small battery pack when doing ultras.

I have ordered both and they are still sat in the box and now I have sold my 5X its make my mind up time.

    Hi

I have all 3 models and before they came I was thinking I would use the Fenix 5x Plus as my daily watch as I did with the Fenix 5x. But since I have started to play with them all, the Fenix 5 Plus appeals to me for its size and apart from the PulseOX sensor, it has the same features.

I do have the titanium with orange band of the Fenix 5 Plus and that is also swaying me towards the swop
  • I also own the F5+ titanium with orange band- looks striking! I used to own a F5X and, after comparing the 5+ and 5X+ I went with the 5+
It was a pretty easy decision for me personally.
  • I almost bought a Titanium 5 Plus but eventually the huge battery stamina of the 5X+ won over it.
Also I know how titanium bezel can be easily scratched and my past experience with the DLC steel bezel of the 5X was great.
But If you are looking for a smaller Fenix go ahead for the 5+. Even the 5S+ is a stunning concentration of technology. :-)

I'm looking forward to seeing Jon next videos about his Fenix Titanium 5 Plus.
Oh well I should have bought the same of his just to enjoy the many video he will make about it. :-)
And scratches on titanium can be removed too.... Anyway I love big chunky black watches !!! :-)

NemoSandman I'm also interested in 5X+ mainly for advertised extra battery capacity. Could you or someone else confirm the battery life of 5X+ alone or maybe compared with 5? Thanks!

Sorry for the late I answer. I do confirm the great battery life on the 5X+ based on my last trip. 5% by day. :-)

About 5% per day : Are you switching off your watch during the night or is it alive 24h/24 ?

    It's on with HR 24h/24.

Try the Battery Gauge widget. It shows your battery stats: mine is 3,3% lost in the last 18 hours (I have charged it full around 8PM yesterday). I did not use the GPS (just a fix or two) only the ABC functions, bluetooth, Wifi (still network error BTW) and HR 24/24. :-)

My backlight is set at 20% for 4 seconds.
