Fenix 5X to a 5 Plus

Has anyone gone from a 5X to a 5 plus yet. I have had my 5X since it was released and have been very happy with it but being a little smaller could be a good thing.
Don't think pulse oximeter will be any good for me and I take a small battery pack when doing ultras.

I have ordered both and they are still sat in the box and now I have sold my 5X its make my mind up time.
  • Actually the 5 Plus is a superior watch to the 5x in many regards. The Plus is almost a totally different (i.e. Fenix 6) watch. And yes, the 5 Plus is smaller.
  • I have just sold my 5X for 5 plus, i"m very happy for my choice, I think Fenix 5+ is superior at all. I have done some comparison between Fenix 5X tracks and F5+ and last one with GPS + Galileo is far better than 5X! Also altimeter finally is almost perfect!

Are these tracks that you yourself have done, or others? I sold my 5x about a year ago due to the absolutely horrendous tracks it provided in even minimal difficult terrain/tree cover, etc, and purchased a Suunto Spartan Baro, and have been very pleased with the tracks; world of difference. That being said, I do like many of the features of my old F5x, but do not want to give up the GPS accuracy.
Could you either post MyGPSFiles links to comparisons, or links to comparisons?
    Thanks
  • These track are mine but I haven't any file to compare it'only my daily track to work and I have always deleted them after test them. However I can confirm that track is better than Fenix 5X!
  • I have question.
To have better current speed better using the f5 with galilelo? or f5+ footpod ? or now the speed we have the best from f5+ and galilleo and footpod ?
Coudl you tell how to have the best current speed stable /real . I need to know to have better stable speed during marathon when i will be pacemaker
  • I kept the 5 plus and I love it. This track was from a transition from a cycle to a run and it was indoors and it shows me waking to my desk to drop my cycle gear of. Galileo on and 1-second recording
