Battery Life

Hi F5 plus owners,

Would be good to get an idea of battery life with a mix of activities/functions. Would be helpful to understand why the expected life has dropped vs F5, if it's Galileo/ new chipset then no way around that, if they assume music use alongside activity, I would only rarely use it, certainly not when cycling. If it's cpu load due to maps, would only need those in unfamiliar territory i.e. not regular routes, etc etc.

They probably had to reduce the battery size in order to get the NFC antenna, extra memory for maps, and full bluetooth chip in there. That combined with a faster processor probably accounts for the reduction. That being said, 18 hours is still pretty good.

If you consider the battery life of the Fenix 5x was originally the same as the new Fenix 5 Plus with all the new features, its not a bad battery life
