Reply to Text Messages

I can respond to text messages on my new 5 Plus.
I couldn't on the regular Fenix 5.
Is this an update only for the Fenix Plus models (and Vivoactive, etc.)?

And by the way...loving it! So much easier during an activity :)

When you receive a text message notification on your f?nix[SUP]®[/SUP] device, you can send a quick reply by selecting from a list of messages.You can customize messages in the Garmin Connect Mobile app.
NOTE: This feature sends text messages using your phone. Regular text message limits and charges from your carrier and phone plan may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for more information about text message charges or limits.

From the watch face, select UP to view the notifications widget.
Select , and select a text message notification.
Select DOWN > Reply.
Select a message from the list.

Your phone sends the selected message as an SMS text message.

For clarity, is the ability to customize responses only on android or is the whole reply feature only on android. I have an iPhone and can not figure out how to reply to a text on my Fenix 5+.

Works on Android but not on iOS. It’s an Apple imposed constraint apparently, so no point complaining to Garmin about it.

I cannot find how to customise the list of messages in the Android Garmin Connect App, anyone know where to find this setting?

Not sure why you would reply with the same apple/android response when the previous poster who had the same problem said it doesn't work on android either.

What previous poster? Garmin? The post you're linking is older than the OP...

I was responding to Crispin, who made the same point about Apple and Android in a previous thread, where the original poster also responded that it wasn't working on Android.

Anyway, this is an advertised feature that seems to be inadvertently missing, and which works on other watches. I would hope it gets added soon.

This is a great idea to have on garmin, just pls add IOS + Whatsapp :)
