Yeah i noticed that too :( I'm guessing this is Garmin holding out on price, rather than the retailers. I had the same issue with Cotswold Outdoor when buying a GoPro.
Definitely not buying any of the series. Far too expensive and with no discounts there's no chance. £750 for a F5X plus? No chance. Was happy to pay £535 for my F5X after discount but no way I'm paying £215 more than that for the new version!

To be fair, I'm not sure many F5X owners would see enough changes to warrant an upgrade. Being the owner of the F3 (yeah, none HR remember that old thing?) I'm tempted as it's a big improvement.
However, the price is still expensive. I'm also a diver, so I had my eye on the Descent for ages. Now i will probably wait for a fancy Descent Mk2 (if that is at all on the cards?), which may include some of the music/Climbpro etc features of the 'plus' range.
