Is there any reason to buy Enduro in 2023?

I have had mine for about a year - battery life is excellent and for the price it is a very durable watch (if you don't need WiFi and mapping).  The original Enduro still gets firmware updates from time to time.  For $399 vs $799 ... I also have an Apple Watch for the mapping stuff and WiFi/Cellular capability.  It only gets 1 day of battery life whereas the Enduro will go weeks on a charge.

Consider the Fenix 7 instead:

It's got multi band GPS, whereas the Enduro does not. That's what I'd do now.

I am using my 4th Enduro 1... Excellent watch... it has all I need for running. You can buy excellent used ones on Ebay for less then usd300. Wonderfull bennefit for this cost. Battery Last forever... 

I think it depends what you are looking for. The enduro has a crazy battery life. The Enduro 2 is not as crazy.
  The main differences are that the Enduros screen is not as bright as the Enduro2, and the Enduro2 has a touch screen! 

BUTTTT The enduro first came out in 2021, Enduro 2 came out in 2022..... Maybe they will be releasing another watch in 2024!
