Garmin Enduro - Amazing!

Wow. Just got my Enduro. Crazy battery life. Love the look. While it misses music and maps of my Fenix 6xProSolar, the battery life is the absolute selling point. Any other Enduro users? Thoughts? Experience?

  • Congratulation

i moved from Apple Watch 7 to Enduro

huge difference, Apple Watch looks cartonic kids watch compared to enduro

one more thing ... I had F6X Solar, enduro has slightly more bright screen

  • I switched from VA3 and I love my Enduro. The only thing I don't like about it is that I cannot use calendar function of Simply Late watchface anymore because of Enduro hardware. If developers were allowed to read calendar data from Enduro widget, they would gladly display it on theri watchface. Why Garmin, why? Why don't you allow developers to read calendar data and display it on the watchface?

  • Hello.

What do you mean by "crazy battery life"? Remember that Endurod doesnt have maps and music, that options are high energy consumers so do not compare it with F 6PS.  I asked becouse that depends of how many sensors are active and of course how many hours do you use it as a actyvity tracker with GPS active. I”m a amateur runner, so I use it 7-8 hours per week for trainings, and I wear it 24/7 with wirst HR and pulsoximeter active all the time. With all of this I”m not impressed at all, I have to recharge it at every 7 to 10 days.

  • I also wear it 24/7 with wrist HR active all the time, I use it 7-10 hours per week (GPS + Galileo) and I recharge it once a month. Turn off pulseOX and you should be just fine.

  • I wanted to buy Enduro when it was released, and it seems it was targeted at users exactly like me, but with the current implementation of navigation, specifically turn-by-turn directions for courses, it is a non-starter. Robust navigation is one of the most important features for me. The problem is that Garmin produces turn directions based on a course shape rather than actual turns. That means that on trails it produces a lot of "false" turns for every sharp bend of a trail and at the same time it misses a lot of actual turns if they aren't sharp enough. In some cases turn directions may actually be misleading, for example telling me a right turn is coming when in fact the course goes left. I've seen that a number of times.

With maps, at least, I can glance on a map and figure out where I need to go relative to other trails at a fork or a junction. But without maps and with no reliable turn directions, navigation on Enduro is much less useable than on Fenix, and even less usable than on some competitor watches.

  • Thank you, Alexandra. I switched off pulsoximeter and yes, now the prediction of battery consumption increases from 15 days to 50 days. I did not immagine that pulsoximeter is such a high energy consumer.

  • Me too, 24/7 with HR and 4 - 8 hours of activities.
And also one recharge by month.

About turn by turn without maps, it's sufficient in 99% of cases in trail for me, I use it regularly.

I very satisfied by my watch.
