Sensor fault

I've been wearing the brand new descent mk1 5 days both day and night. Last night I didn't wear it. In the morning, when I wear the watch again, I realized that none of the sensors work.

Wrist HR, compass, barometer, Bluetooth; none of them work. It doesn't connect to the phone either.

I tried to restart watch and phone but nothing changes.

I returned the watch to the factory setting but still none of the sensors work.

  • I saw several similar cases at diverse Garmin models after a firmware upgrade that went wrong, for some reason (i.e. interruption of the connection during the download, or perhaps other similar issues). A restart or the master reset usually do not help either, and you have to downgrade the sensor hub software, to the previous version, and let the update happen again. Unfortunatelly, Garmin does not offer any downloadable firmware packages for the MK2, so I am afraid you'll have to contact the Customer Support - they should be able to lead you through the process, but it is also possible they'll prefer replacing the device (although, it is almost certanly not necessary).
