Heart Rate Sensor Failed

Hi guys,

The heart rate sensor of my MK1 just failed. It has been super bright-almost can be used as a flashlight-and hot. One of my friends met the same issue with his MK1 about a year ago. His watch ended up with repaired under warranty. It seems that there has been something wrong with their QA. I've sent an email to Garmin last Thursday, but nothing has happened. Has any of you met the same issue?

Call Garmin Support in your country!

This is the first time I have heard of HR sensor failures on the Mk1. Mine has been working fine for over 15 months. My previous one (replaced with a new one after the Garmin button failed) worked fine for nine months.

This is a hardware failure and they can and will happen with all products no matter the manufacturer.

I have not. I’ve seen the “cracking” issue with the HR but aside from that, I haven’t seen anything else from a hardware standpoint.

Mine is about two years. The only people I know using the same model of the watch had the same issue, what a coincidence! Will call them to figure out a solution.

It may have been a bad batch. I sold roughly 20 of these both to my staff members and customers and none of them had an issue like this. A search of this forum for the MK1 will show that as well.

This just may be an isolated incident.
