I asked this question in the other thread but it may have gotten lost in the responses.
We've all received a new sensor hub update because it:
- Fixed an issue where depth could be reported incorrectly
What I’d like to know, with this watch supposed to have been rated to the standard of EN13319 with the accuracy of +1m/-1.5m, are we talking about an error within this threshold or at deeper depths a much greater error? Has this error been in place from the very beginning or since the 6.00?
While I can’t attest to other Agencies standards, I can state that under NAUI’s Standards for Open Water and Advanced Diver Certification’s that the students have to demonstrate ability to use their Dive Tables to plan for dives. So “accuracy” within reason is of the utmost importance, especially since 1’ can put them into a completely different “Letter Group”.
With this Friday marking the 6 month mark since the last update for the Descent, I’ve pretty much given up hope for the development of this watch and am no longer wearing this as my daily watch but an answer to the above question for the Instructors that may have given incorrect information to their students while training them would be nice.
