Software Update

Is Garmin planning on releasing an update to address some of the known issues with the Descent any time soon?

Specifically

- Compass:

- Prioritization of Dive Mode: as this is a dive computer, it really should go into dive mode when a diver descends. Yes I know we teach our students to check their gear, but in reality I see people not check their gear all the time when at a dive site. Had an advanced student recently who did not even know how to assemble his gear as someone always did it for them.

If you scroll down on the 'about' screen: BLE/ANT/SNS should be 6.20? I've got 6.20 for that but am still on software version 6.00.

Have you hooked up your Descent to GE? When the post was created, it originated at 25/50%. I didn’t receive the update but after a few days, I was prompted with the 6.20 sensor hub update.

I would be surprised if the update isn’t available to all but the post wasn’t properly updated, like everything else with this watch.

Mark, any news on the update? Prolonged waiting for fixes and updates is making us more and more frustrating.

Why are you asking me? I am just another frustrated Descent owner. Garmin is not very forthcoming with their plans, and they say an update is coming but we are approaching 7 months since the last update.
