Hello, has anyone experienced similar issue? I see there is update available, but when I attempt to install it, it shows me that I do not have enough storage. My device has about 3,7 GB free. I have only 1 app, 1 widget and 1 watch face installed. Since I bought the watches I never had more than 1 GB or something free and all the previous map updates went without any issues.
yes, I have the same problem. I try all workaround, move ALL - TopoActive Europe v4 East (d6184010a.img .gma .unl) - TopoActive Europe v4 East (gmapprom.img .gma .unl) - Garmin Cycle Map EU, South West 2018.20 (d6019010a.img .gma .unl) - Garmin Cycle Map EU, North East 2018.20 (gmapcycle.img .gma .unl) - GarminDevice.xml
to PC (12,3 GB) and restart Descent.
But Garmin Express seems to remember previously installed maps and is stuck on "contact assistance to upgrade".
Please some one help us.
I also try to check the log of garmin Express on the PC ... C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Logs\Express
Garmin Express seems to see the Descent also if disconnect from USB, I disable also wifi. Under C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads the 2018.20 maps has only 8 files.
1. Updated Garmin Express for Mac to version 6.13 2. Connected Descent Mk1 to my Mac as storage and opened GARMIN folder 3. Copied (made a backup) all map files bigger than 2 GB (.img) and coresponding .unl and .gma files to PC 4. Deleted all map files bigger than 2 GB (.img) and coresponding .unl and .gma files from Garmin Descent Mk1 5. Disconnected the watches from PC nad let it run to home screen 6. Reconnected back to PC as storage 7. Launched Garmin Express and voila, update now works 8 If the update runs without any issues you can delete the files from step 3. from Mac.
I am experiencing the same problem, however my file names do not match what those in this thread and at least one other on this same topic on the forums deleted to get the update to work. For example, I don't have a gmapcycle.img on the device... I logged a support query with Garmin to see if they can assist.
