GPS software 4.40 and Galileo

Great to see so many improvements made it to the MK1. TrueUp, fix of the heart rate transmission issue, Pool Mode, Galileo support to just name the functions I missed most.

But so fas I failed to activate Galileo, I understand it requires GPS 2.4. On the watch I have 4.40 installed and no further update is available via GarminExpress or Webupdater. What is the procedure to get Galileo running ?

I don’t believe Galileo was supported with this update based on the 5x comparison update. I’m sure the next update that they do for the Descent will include the Galileo support and support for the Explorer app.

According to the release note the Fenix 5x base was updated from 7.60 -> 10.10. Galileo support was introduced to the Fenix 5x with version 9.53, so I assume it should be included in this update.

On the other hand I see the heart-rate broadcast issue was fixed in 10.58, so this fix might not have made it to the MK1 :-( This is a really annoying bug when using the MK1 as heart rate sensor in combination with my Edge1030 for mountain-biking, right now it's too much snow for biking anyway, but it would be great to see that bug gone soon anyway.

Just to clear up any confusion on this subject, the Descent Mk1 does not support Galileo at this time.

Thank you for the clarification. Is there a page showing all public releases for the 5x ? There is one of the beta releases but I struggle to find the information about the public releases, next to the very actual one in the sticky notes.

Just to clear up any confusion on this subject, the Descent Mk1 does not support Galileo at this time.

Since the last update should Galileo work. But there is nothing. I am wrong? [h=4]Changes made from version 10.20 to 11.00:[/h]

Added GPS + GALILEO support (Activity Settings > GPS). (Requires GPS version v2.30)
