Please turn on the GPS receiver as soon as the End Dive Delay is started. This will give time to get a better lock on the satellites and have a more accurate location when the exit is saved.
At the moment, the GPS receiver is only turned on a second or two before the exit location is saved and it can be out by anywhere from 5 to 100 metres.
I know from starting my dives (and even runs) that it can take as long as 20 seconds (and even loger) for the GPS to be ready so clearly 1-2 seconds is never going to be enough.
Yes, I understand that the Mk1 may still be underwater at that time and won't get a lock but doing this won't be any worse than what happens now and could be a lot better. It may have a small impact on the battery but seeing as I typically go into dive mode (with GPS on) up to a minute before I descend, battery impact will be negligible.
