Software version 6.00 is now available to 100% of users.
This software version is being rolled out in phases and can be downloaded through Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express when available.

Changes made from version 4.00 to 6.00:
In-Dive Changes:
- Added a new in-dive menu that replaces the Backup Gas menu (in the Single-Gas app) and the Switch Gas menu (in the Multi-Gas app)
- The gas switching menu is now accessible from the first item in this new menu ("Gas")
- Added the ability to edit some settings during a dive. These settings include:
- Deco PO2
- Conservatism
- Setpoints (in the CCR app)
- Added the ability to add new gas mixes during a dive.
- Access this new feature by selecting "Add New" in the gas switching menu.
- Gases added while the dive timer is running are only available during that dive.
- Open-circuit gases are added as backups and won't be included in TTS calculations unless you switch to them.
- All closed-circuit diluents are included in TTS calculations.
- Between gases defined pre-dive and gases defined in-dive, the total number of gas "slots" has been increased to 18.
- Improved the consistency of the compass and time-of-day dive screens by flipping the positions of NDL/TTS and Depth to match the main dive screen.
- Fixed an Apnea issue introduced in 4.00 where the faster depth updates were not reflected in the ascent/descent rate
Other Descent-specific Changes:
- Added Closed Circuit Rebreather app
- Added new breathing gas management system
- Gases are now split by app: Single-gas, Multi-gas, and CCR
- The existing gas list has been copied to both Single-gas and Multi-gas
- The maximum number of gases per-app has been increased from 6 to 12.
- The Plan Dive app now has the option to overwrite either the Single-gas or Multi-gas gas list. If the plan has more than one enabled gas, it can only be applied to the Multi-gas list.
- Travel Gas is now chosen by selecting an Enabled gas and choosing "Set as Travel Gas." Deleting that gas or selecting "Unset as Travel Gas" will set the travel gas back to the bottom gas.
- Deco and backup gases are now ordered by %O2
- Added Pool Mode
- Added a new Controls Menu item to enable/disable Pool Mode (Settings > Controls > Add New > Pool Mode)
- When Pool Mode is active, dives are not saved to the dive log.
- When Pool Mode is active, tissue load is tracked as normal (for gas dives), gauge and deco lockouts apply, and no-fly and surface interval timers continue to function. If it is still active, Pool Mode will turn off automatically each night at midnight.
- Added the ability to save a dive's Entry and Exit points (if known) as saved locations. In the dive log, choose a dive and select Save Location.
- Added the ability to edit the Apnea surface interval alert while on the surface interval pages.
- Added the minimum temperature of the last dive to the main - Apnea surface interval page.
- Improved Navigate app when navigating to a saved dive activity. You now have the option of navigating to either the entry or exit point, if available.
- Improved Conservatism menu to show the gradient factors of the quick settings (low/medium/high).
- Improved the dive log to show Time In and Time Out
- Fixed a potential issue where switching from At Depth to Always On backlight via the dive pre-check might not take effect until the next dive
Changes brought in from Fenix 5X:
- Updated fenix 5X base from 7.60 -> 10.10.
- Major new features include:
- Added the Sunrise & Sunset widget
- Added the Alternate Time Zones widget
- Added support for Physio TrueUp. Physio TrueUp syncs activities done on other Garmin devices, allowing your device to more accurately reflect your training status and fitness.
- Note: Dive activities are not yet supported and will show up with incomplete data
- Added support for Garmin Xero Bow Sight
- Added support for Garmin inReach Mini
- Added support for REM sleep phase detection
- Note: This is not turned on in Connect yet.
- Added the Kayak app
- Added support for Connect IQ SDK v3.0
- Added support for canned text replies when responding to text messages (Android only)
