Wierd temperature sensor?

I picked up my replacement Mk1 yesterday and used it on a dive today. I'm disappointed with the temperature sensor in the replacement body.

With my previous Mk1, the recorded temperature readings weren't that far off from my Citizen Hyper Aqualand and my Shearwater Perdix. I actually have a lot of faith in the Citizen.

Here's an example from a recent dive with my old Mk1:

The Perdix is always slow to catch up, but once it does it is consistent.

Here's today's dive:

What is weird is the Mk1 never showed less than 15ºC and was on 16ºC for most of the dive.

Hopefully it is a one of and subsequent dives will show better results.

I was under the belief that part of the EN 13319 rating for this watch, was accuracy for both Depth and Temperature underwater. Hopefully it’s not a faulty sensor.

It was still way out on today's dive:

I watched the Mk1 carefully throughout the dive. It never displayed anything under 17ºC. The Perdix and the Citizen each showed 16ºC for most of the dive although sometimes 17ºC.

I'm wondering if it is some kind of calibration for what goes in the log seeing as the display is about right.
