I've been thinking about buying the MK1. I am living in Germany but heading over to the USA in a few weeks. Meanwhile I learned that the European version of the MK1 comes with European Maps und the US-Version with US-Maps. What I like to know which map area is included? North-America? North and South America? And with the European version - all Europe? Parts of Europe? Hopefully anyone knows about. It would influence my decision to buy it in the US or here. Due to exchange rate I'd pay about 850€ in the US with the American map while the MK1 is 999€ in Germany. Buying the European map afterwards would get me a MK1 for about 999€ but both maps.
Is it true that the MK1 doesn't show the max. depth after diving? For me this value is a must after diving.
