Heart Rate Incorrect

Hi,
Normally I don't look into heart rate data on a watch, but today I looked and it was going between 190-240. I was resting and my heart rate was between 60 and 70, no more. It rarely go beyond 170 even when I'm training. Same heart rate is displayed on a Connect Mobile real time. When going back into watch mode heart rate falls to what it is on a mobile. Comments?
  • I suspect it is more to do with the limitations in approximating heart rate optically. I haven't noticed issues with my Mk1 (yet), but I had a Mio Fuse previously and it would often have the completely wrong heart rate.

Garmin Connect Mobile should always match the Mk1 because it is only displaying what the Mk1 tells it to display.
  • profunditas The optical heart rate sensor on your Garmin optical heart rate device uses light to penetrate your skin and estimate your heart rate. This allows you to get heart rate information without the need for an external sensor.

Take a look at the following article on tips on how to Improve the Accuracy of the Optical Heart Rate Sensor.
  • Thanks for the replies.

This has happening first time in 2 months of ownership. I was resting and watch was in ideal position. I was able to recreate the issue any time I selected HR display. When observing real time HR on a mobile it was realistic 60-70. This leads me to the conclusion it might be a SW problem.
