I'd like to see the ability to set the dive number for the next dive so that the numbering reflects my lifetime dives rather than just the small number of dives I have done with the Descent MK1.
My Oceanic Atom 3.0 allowed me to set a "Beginning Life Time Dive Number" when I first got it 4 years ago. It has sequenced all my dives from that number since.
My Shearwater Perdix AI, goes one better and allows me to change the "Next Log" number so I can cope with "dives" I don't want in my log. I can also change the dive number of any dives on the Shearwater before they are downloaded.
At the moment the my dives with the Descent are numbered from the first dive with the Descent. Editing the dive number on my mobile is ridiculous as I have to scroll from 1 to nearly 1,500. At least on Garmin Connect web I can type the numbers in.
I suspect the supposed divers that work for Garmin have very few dives under their belts and don't see this as an issue.
