The stopwatch and timer features function as a separate activity option on the Approach S40, so during a round of golf there is not an option to access those features to start and stop a clock or timer in that manner.
However, during the round...you can can tap the button on the side of the watch and view the current time at the top of the screen next to the battery icon...or you can view the round timer through the "Round Info" menu section and view the active timer by the minute from that function during the round.
