S40 Stop Tracking Before Reaching Ball on Green

Why does my S40 STOP tracking BEFORE I reach my ball on the green? It tracks to the green, but not to my ball on the green. How do I correct this?

Not sure how to correct, but I do not get prompted for my chip shots when within some number of yards from the green (have not figured out the distance).
