Golf App New Account Issue

My husband just purchased an Approach S40. He does not have an account. This is an iPhone 11 Pro running iOS ver 14.6 (the latest version). We get the following message and are stopped from setting up an account. Is there a workaround? Added information: I cannot create an account for him using my computer either. I don't get an error message.
