Your Approach S40 will allow you to play 9 or 18 holes with the very rare exception of some unique courses around the world. If the Golf Course has 27 holes or say 36 holes, they will be broken down allowing you to play any combination of a full 9 holes. First example, the first 9 holes could be played and saved as one scorecard or you could play the first 9 holes followed by the last 9 holes, considered holes 28-36. Each 9 holes would be saved as their own scorecard.
