My Garmin Approach S20 has suddenly stopped transferring my scorecard data

My Approach S20 failed to transfer scorecard data when synced with my PC and Garmin Express and appears to have delete them  from S20 anyway. 

I religiously save all my rounds and this has worked from 2018 up to and including 13th July 21. Now for some reason it has simply stopped transferring the data

I regularly update & sync my S20 (and my Garmin Approach G8)

This is very annoying as I now have a month of data which appears to have been lost altogether

Can you please let me know if this is a known problem and if there is a solution, what do I do apart from buy another brand?

I am very disappointed
