Is there anywhere to use the GPS for the odometer on the S20 to get better accuracy for running?

Would like to have the GPS calculate distance vs the estimate from the step counter.

No. The Approach S20 is solely intended for Golfing and does not have the additional indoor or outdoor GPS based activity features that other watches may have in addition to Golfing.
