Approach S20 failed to transfer scorecard but deleted it from S20 anyway (to save memory!!)

I had a problem with mine where it would lose the scorecard on transfer so that it was no longer on the watch or the PC.

My solution so far is to:-

1. At the end of the round press the End Round to close the scorecard on the watch.

2. Save the scorecard on the watch using Save.

3. Connect the S20 to the PC using the USB cable supplied

4. Open Windows Explorer and click on the S20

5. On the right hand side you should see a folder called GARMIN and a file called AUTORUN.INF

5A.  Check the folder GARMIN/SCORE is not empty - if it is the scorecard is lost already - if not...

6. Create a folder on the PC to hold a copy of these files in case they are lost in the transfer.

7. Drag and drop/copy the files from the watch to the new folder on the PC.

Now you have a copy of the watch files to copy back to the S20 and retry should they be lost in the transfer.

8. Open Garmin Express and let it check the files and sync as normal.

9. Once done and before any updates open Garmin Connect and check to see if your scorecard is there. If not go back to step 7 and copy the files back the other way, from PC to S20 then goto 8 as before.

10. My own S20 has not failed yet to pass the files to the PC using this method.
