Reset Trip Odometer 700i

Trying to reset trip Odometer on Montana 700i. Googled it, but menu options weren't on my GPS. Went to setup, reset, reset trip data. Only option reset all. Did that, odometer not reset.

Do you have the option to reset from the trip computer itself? When on the trip computer page, select the menu, and select reset. See the relevant section from the manual.

The only solution to reset the ODO that I've found is to do a device reset. You lose all you're settings if you do this.

I don't know why they don't have a line option to reset the ODO. I've put in a request, but I don't think they read these suggestions.

Are you certain that the data field you are looking at is "Trip Odometer" and not "Odometer"? The Trip Odometer field should reset when you choose Setup > Reset > Reset Trip Data > Reset, but the Odometer field will not reset unless you fully reset the device.

Garmin-Chris I'm not the OP, but the ODO not being able to reset is a major pain. I use it for each trip, and use the trip for each day.
