Brand new Montana 700i default track to Taiwan?!?

My brand new Montana automatically shows a direct track to Taiwan when turned on, every time yet there is no stored waypoint or track. I am in Canada.

It is like a location in Taiwan has been setup as the default home location and the unit is setup to calculate the most direct route back home as a default when turned on.

How do I remove this annoying feature.

If the Montana 700i is showing a magenta line from your current location to Taiwan, tap the menu icon (three horizontal bars) and select Stop Navigation.

Garmin devices are produced in Taiwan.

So you could say that it is the home location of the device.

The device should remember the current location just before you turn off the device. If you turn on the device it should show that location as its current location.

Did the unit have a good satellite fix before turning off? And is there are a file called ".Position.gpx" in the Garmin folder on the internal storage? I believe that file is used to keep track of the last known current position.
