I recently bought and fitted a re-radiating GPS antenna in my car that operates on freq 1575.42 only. Can you tell me then, how is it possible that the signal for GLONASS in my 700 is augmented the same as the GPS signal and quite often even more than GPS signal? Mind you, this is after very extensive tests and observation under various conditions. My experience with GNSS :- ex air traffic controller and ship's navigator on warships. Today, units are used for personal mineral exploration. May I add, thank you for your time and prompt replies.

It would be interesting to see the VNA test results for your antenna. The specs listed indicate a 10MHz spread, putting it less than 30MHz from GLONASS frequencies. The antenna may in fact have a broader frequency spread than indicated.

Very interesting indeed, perhaps you could purchase one and solve this mystery! FYI,  I have a corner in my lounge room where I can place the 700 and it will drop just about all GLONASS signals, usually stays on 1 or 2 sats but very weak signals and about 5 GPS signals fairly weak as well but better. Then I'll run the antenna inside and boosts all signals to normal. There has been a few instances in the car where I have received up to 12 GLONASS sats with just about full strength signals. Nahhhhhh, not at all brother, I already have the end user answers; I just thought it might be of some technical benefit to your knowledge bank. From my understanding of what I just read, it looks like the new K2 Rusky satellites have expanded their CDMA signal to overlap into the 1575 MHz.....correct me if I'm wrong.

According to the GLONASS website,  that satellite is not yet being used in the constellation. Even if it was, it would only be one GLONASS satellite signal in the L1 band, and would not contribute to all GLONASS signals being improved.
